I am one of the few lucky Yoga teachers this far North in the UK who was trained by Maya Fiennes to teach these two specific and very powerful types of Yoga which were developed by herself. This yoga is based on Kundalini Yoga mixed with Qi Gong and Tai Chi.

Whether you are a beginner at yoga, post- natal, a professional at sports, depressed, menopausal, anxious or just happy and wanting to do something positive ...... there is something for everyone here. I can cater for your specific needs so you can use this powerful tool to live a positive and balanced life.

When we stimulate / balance our glands and nerves in our bodies, we produce those 'happy hormones' in the brain, release blockages in our bodies which we have accumulated during our lives through stress, traumas etc.  Our glandular-, nervous-, respiratory- systems etc. can all be woken up again by just doing specific but simple exercises.  Breath, movement, mantras and meditation.

Yoga, Qi Gong & Tai Chi

are very effective as they are, but when combined with  kundalini yoga.... they enhance each other and leave you super energized, calm and balanced. Tai Chi and Qi Gong also tend to soften the effect of Kundalini Yoga which is very nice and soothing.

            Kundadance

is a great fun and a dynamic cardio work out. Yoga doesn't have to be all serious! It is a full body, mind and spirit workout which is for all levels of fitness and can be adjusted to most abilities. Anyone can dance. Kundadance was developed by Maya Fiennes and consists of Kundalini yoga, Qi Gong and Tai Chi. It is great to let it all out!!!

       Yoga For Real Life

is an amazing form of yoga developed by Maya Fiennes in which we use Kundalini yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong using breath, movement, mantras and meditation. It is called YFRL because most of us have busy lifestyles and instead of finding an hour a day, you can even only have a 10 to15 minute daily routine to start your day, specifically catered for your and still have amazing results.

Are YFRL and Kundadance suitable for beginners?

  • Yes!!! Both Kundadance and YFRL are suitable for all levels and most abilities. The exercises are very easy to adjust / modify to whatever your capability is. You don't have to be fit at the start, you will get there during.

How often should I do yoga?

  • It is recommended to do yoga at least twice a week for optimal results. YFRL is designed to either practice either a full hour or do a short 15 minute session several times a week.

What should I bring to a yoga class?

  • You only need to wear comfortable clothes a yoga mat, water and a blanket or something to keep you warm for deep relaxation at the end. If you are not comfortable sitting on the floor, have a cushion or even a chair handy too.

 

                                                           ABOUT ME

In my younger years I was always one for 'real sports' ;running, rowing, teaching aerobics etc. I did try yoga a few times but I never really 'got it' so to speak. Years later after having 2 children, menopause knocked on my door. To make a long story short, I started practicing yoga with Maya Fiennes' videos  (the only type of yoga that appealed to me). This practice of Kundalini yoga helped me so much it was quite impressive. Within 3 months my back, lungs and energy levels were fixed and my brain was not so foggy and scatty anymore. I ended up going to London to take the 2020 Teacher Training course with Maya Fiennes and it was great! The other teacher at the course was Beth Morgen who added Yoga Nidra. It was an amazing 10 day experience. I then qualified for Kundadance and Advanced Kundadance.

Yoga For Real Life & Kundadance are my absolute passion because when you practice this, you feel the immediate  changes in body and mind. If you practice this yoga regularly, you will have more control over how you feel on a daily basis and how you handle situations despite of what life throws at you. I like passing on these 'tools for life' to other people just to make their daily lives a bit easier instead of having to 'cope whilst suffering'. Life can be happier if you know what to do.                                                                                HOW DOES IT ALL WORK ?

 

We are working with 7 Chakras which are energy centers in our bodies. They need to stay open and balanced to function at their best. If they get blocked, they disrupt our energy and affect our physical and emotional wellbeing. Unblocking the Chakras restores our natural flow of energy and releases/clears trauma from the body which then makes us less susceptible to illnesses.

The easy-to-follow yoga routines are a combination of dance, yoga, breath, movement, mantra and meditation which can be adjusted to suit all fitness levels. Every session brings your energy levels all the way up and calms you right down at the end and the effect of it, is powerful and long lasting.
